I Am Spicy

“I am spicy” is an agricultural company based in Bois-Normand-près-Lyre which grows and processes nettles. Here, non-mechanized agriculture is practiced where everything is done by hand.
Nettle is cultivated for its richness in vitamins, minerals and proteins. In 100 grams of Nettle you will find: 160 mg of calcium (2x more than in 100 gr of orange), 473 mg of magnesium (4x more than in 100 gr of wholemeal bread), 23,10 mg of iron (6x more than in 100 g of spinach) and 1940 mg of calcium (16x more than in 100 g of cow's milk).
Nettle is also recognized for its protective action on the epidermis and scalp. It soothes skin conditions (acne, eczema, psoriasis, urticaria). It is a hair tonic that helps promote regrowth or limit hair loss.
"Je suis Piquante" markets creations based on nettles, powders and spreads. Herbal teas (nettle, nettle-mint, nettle-lemon balm) and condiments. He also sells soaps, solid shampoos and shaving soap for the benefits of Nettle on the skin and scalp.
The soaps are made by cold saponification. They are composed of 100% vegetable oils from organic farming, scented with essential oils and enriched with nettle powder cultivated by them.
Germain Canville, producer, offers tours of his crops and his processing workshop by appointment.

These products are on sale by appointment and available at certain weekly markets in the Neuve-Lyre region.
