In Verneuil d'Avre and d'Iton, discover the riches of this church, founded in the 12th century.
Created at the same time as the city in the 12th century, the Notre-Dame church was remodeled in the 15th and 16th centuries and was then cut off by three bays of its nave but enlarged by chapels. Notre-Dame has an exceptional collection of statues. Some, carved in stone, are part of the Verneuil school and date from the end of the 15th century, others, dating from the 13th, are in polychrome wood.
The church is also adorned with beautiful 19th century stained glass windows and contemporary works by Maurice Denis, Georges Desvallières and Christian Chenard.
