The family business Michel Cluizel, one of the leaders in high-end chocolate, has been established for 70 years in Damville. It is one of the few to master the transformation of cocoa beans into cocoa paste and then into chocolate. Its chocolates are exported all over the world (with 6 professionals). Almonds in a cauldron and sardines in milk are some specialties that will make you fall in love… but excellence is found in the exceptional cocoa accord bars: up to 000% cocoa!

Note that Cluizel chocolate is tasted like great wines. Tasting workshops and pastry courses are offered.

A chocolate museum opened in 2002: a real place of history and initiation into cocoa and chocolate over more than 500 m².
Visit the gallery with its photo report on the plantations, its totems recounting the great history of cocoa and the exhibition of the first machines. Discover your "Chocolate Profile". Tell him how you like to taste it, he will tell you which chocolate suits you.
Enter the film library where a film (subtitled in English) of about twenty minutes, allows you to learn more about the history of chocolate, the plantations, the processing and the Cluizel know-how, as well as the family history.
Finally, discover the workshop in a refined style, which harmoniously combines white, brass and stainless steel with a warmer, more upscale touch. Here, watch the chocolatiers at work while waiting for the commented tasting. We will no doubt evoke the new range of completely organic and gluten-free Cluizel chocolate candies.

My “GRAND CARRE DE CHOCOLAT” animation: with the help of a Master chocolatier, compose your “Grand Carré de Chocolat”, and decorate it to your liking. This activity is offered to you every day (visit price + 1,50 €).
