Building on the diversity of natural environments and the rich heritage of the Domaine de Chambray, CREE is developing activities in several areas.

The castle of Chambray is a residence, from the xvie - xviie centuries. The primitive mansions built in the XNUMXth century by Simon Ier and his son Simon II have been completely transformed over time by their descendants. The oldest remaining parts date from the XNUMXth century: the entrance postern, the dovecote and the chapel. The main body of the current building was built in the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries. The whole was reworked by Jacques de Chambray in the XNUMXth century.

In 1944, the last Marquis of Chambray, Simon III, donated the estate to the State to host an agricultural high school in memory of his son, Édouard de Chambray, born in 1912 and killed in action in 1940.

With the old press, the medieval vegetable garden, the small chartreuse, the arboretum and the 32-hectare park, the Chambray estate is an ideal place to illustrate the history and local architecture.
