This loop takes you to the heart of one of the largest forest areas in Normandy: the Breteuil forest and the Conches forest. During your walk, you will take part of the GR 222 (route linking Verneuil-sur-Avre to Pont de l'Arche). A pleasant walk in the shade of this beautiful oak-charm.

Step 1
In the car park, opposite the church, turn left, then immediately right, after the cemetery enclosure, and right again to bypass the cemetery. Take the rue des sept mares to the left. Leave the street of the red house on the left and continue straight until the fork. There, go right towards Beaubray.

Step 2
Take the 4th path on the right, it is the path from the breach to the hen. He descends into the forest to a wide stony path.
Take to the left. Please note, you are in private property. When you get to the road, follow it to the right, slightly uphill, to the entrance to Beaubray.

Step 3
Immediately after the Beaubray entrance sign, turn right onto the forest path. It follows the GR 222 which goes from Verneuil d'Avre and d'Iton to Poses. At the intersection with Allée Collet, turn right to reach the road. There, turn right. Cut the RD 45 road going from Damville to the Vieille Lyre.

Step 4
500 meters after the crossroads, take the forest path on the right. It crosses the RD 23, and arrives at the Grand Huttier crossroads in the forest. Take the second path on the right (at a right angle). Continue straight for about 3 kilometers to reach Guernanville.

Step 5
At the Calvary, it is possible to reach the church of Guernanville by going to the left. To continue on the Massif Forestier circuit, turn completely to the right and immediately left on the path crossed by woods and plains. At the road, turn right, and at the crossroads, turn right onto rue de la Jéromière to arrive at Sainte Marguerite de l'Autel. Return to the church by taking the D23 to the left.
