The Bouviers

With your back to the town hall, take the road opposite which runs along the small town hall square and continue through the village. (At the first crossroads, going 200 m to the right, go to the church of Breux sur Avre and come back to the same crossroads.) At the first crossroads, go straight ahead, then cross the Avre. Just after the river, take the small path in undergrowth on the right at the corner of the mill and continue on the path overlooking the Avre. Pass through the hamlet of La Mulotière, where the path becomes a road and bypass an old mill which has become a summer camp. Pass in front of an ordeal and a plaque in memory of an air combat of the last war.

At the Calvary, take the stony path furthest to the left. The path makes a big curve to the left, and at the top of the hill, it slants to the right. At the first crossroads, in the forest, take the alley on the left. Cross the Bouviers clearing and continue in the forest.

At the crossroads, take a path opposite, which crosses another clearing, then offers a beautiful view of the Avre valley. When you reach the hamlet of Les Brulé d'Acon, turn left onto the road. Cross the road coming from the valley, to take the forest path opposite, which slants to the right and descends to the road shortly before Avre. Go to the right, pass in front of the wash house.

At the church of Acon, turn left on the old road to Le Mans. Continue on this path to reach the starting point.
