The commune of Bottereaux is the largest of the Community of Communes of Rugles and it is proud to have “One of the pearls of the Pays d'Ouche”: the Church of Saint-Jean Baptiste. The magnificent castle of Rebais in bricks and pink tiles constitutes a pretty country setting for hikers.

Step 1
Looking at the church, go left, then left again towards the town hall. Turn right towards La Coquantinière. Take the first path on the left. Cross the RD 37 and follow the road opposite towards Blinière. Turn right in the impasse de la Miotière and continue along the path, dipping twice to the left, then veering to the right between the fences. Finally, at the road go to the left.

Step 2
In the hamlet of Bucaille, turn left, then right in the direction of l'Aigle. In view of the farm, the road makes a right angle to the left, then another to the right. Pass in front of the farm entrance and continue. Go to the Pillière. At the crossroads, go straight ahead and walk along an orchard.

Step 3
In the middle of the orchard, take a path on the left. It continues by a beautiful path at the edge of a small wood. At the end of the wood, continue by the path on the right, always going straight on the main path to the hamlet of Blinière. At the road, turn right. At the first crossroads, continue straight.

Step 4
At the next crossroads, a path marked in yellow arrives from the right. Continue on the road towards Saussay, turn left (those who wish to shorten the walk and do only 10 km can go straight. They will reach point 5) and immediately right towards the pond. Continue straight on the path in the plain. At the road, turn left. Turn into the donkey trail, before the woods to return to Saussay.

Step 5
At the end of the path, turn right. Continue straight on until you reach a hedge. Go to the right, then immediately to the left. Walk between woods and plain. At the road, turn right towards the Manoir du Rebais. Return to the starting point by the road towards Les Bottereaux.
