“Halle en Scène” will enliven the Place de la Halle de Damville for the 3rd consecutive year with a series of three concerts, one every Saturday, at 19 p.m.

French Song Jazz Concert
Since the 50s, the song has always flirted with jazz. She draws from it a number of themes from standards. After playing and evolving their repertoire “Trenet the swing years/Gainsbourg the jazz years” for several years, the Quat'Charles are performing in a new format. Of course they kept some pieces by Trenet and Gainsbourg but they also wrote new arrangements in order to interpret other great voices of jazz song. This is how, with 1, 2, 3 or 4 voices, you will be able to hear titles by Nougaro, Nino Ferrer, Salvador, Higelin, Lavilliers, Dutronc… All in a musical atmosphere leaving room for instrumental improvisations. The Quat'Charles thus continue their musical adventure, keeping this spirit of freedom where everyone can become an accompanist, singer, soloist in turn. Nothing is set in stone in their concerts. Come and listen to them in this repertoire reinvented according to their taste for combining genres!
