Gîte The heron and the hedgehog

The heron and the hedgehog welcome you to this charming place where life is good: as soon as you pass the porch, you will be in the atmosphere of this large late 9th century property located in the heart of the village: beautiful buildings of character, enclosed garden of walls, and on the other side a beautiful wooded area. Laëtitia installed this very elegant gîte in one of the outbuildings and made it a friendly and warm holiday home, with lots of welcome little touches. The decor is a truly successful mix between old furniture and objects, often family-owned and in harmony with the place, and resolutely contemporary touches. On site, plenty of games available: board games, children's games, and outside: ping-pong, badminton, trampoline, pétanque court, bicycles for young and old. Another major asset: the superb indoor swimming pool (4x2m) which you access from the gîte, heated and usable all year round! The village, with shops, is very nice. Entrance to the ground floor, bright living room with lounge, very well equipped kitchen and dining area; it opens onto the sheltered terrace. Independent bathroom and toilet. Upstairs, you arrive on a landing converted into a relaxation and leisure area perfect for children, with lots of beautiful wooden games and books. On one side, a pretty bright room enhanced with green, with a decorative fireplace (double bed), then on the other, 2 communicating rooms: the first is cheerful and ideal for children (1 single beds), the second warm and fresh in its pink tones (double bed 160x200). The house opens entirely onto the garden. Laëtitia, Philippe and their children are there on weekends and holidays; you have private spaces but the rest of the garden is shared, like the swimming pool. Small, very green village with dynamic shops where it is good to stroll, on the banks of the Risle or in the parks and many hiking trails all around.
