This Country GR® offers a tour of the territory through the Avre and Iton valleys. Revised and corrected in 2017 by the Departmental Hiking Committee of the Eure, this long-distance hiking loop crosses an omnipresent nature that serves as a backdrop to a pretty little built heritage that can be found here and there at the bend of a path. Located on the former border region of the Duchy of Normandy, you will meet many medieval remains: the Becquet (Bourth), the medieval motte of Damville, the square tower and the St-Sulpice de Breteuil church, the estates of Chambray (Gouville ) and Hellenvilliers and the ancient medieval towns of Tillières-sur-Avre, Nonancourt and Verneuil-sur-Avre.
