This circuit connects the three churches of the communes of Saint-Ouen d'Attez, Saint-Nicolas d'Attez and Dame Marie which merged to give birth to the new commune of Sainte-Marie d'Attez. Two of these buildings are classified as Historical Monuments. Sainte-Marie d'Attez (place Jules Chauvin)

Step 1

The start is located on the village square of Saint Ouen near the war memorial.
In front of the sign, go left towards the town hall. Cross the first crossroads continuing straight. Turn left into rue du Haut-Matry. At the next crossroads, turn right, then right again into the dirt track. On the road in sight of the Iton, go left on the dirt road. At the crossroads, cross the path carrying the GR 222 and continue straight ahead. After entering the farm, turn right. (off course, in the street opposite, notice a bread oven and after the bend the Gilbardière well). Cut the road and continue opposite towards the Moulin Patrouillet. Cross the Iton and go straight on to join the GR 222. Turn left to return to Saint Nicolas, passing over the footbridges.

Step 2

At the church, turn right and continue straight on the road. (In the presbytery adjoining the church was born in 1823 the famous painter Théodule Ribot). After leaving the village, take the dirt road on the left. Cross the road, and take the path to the left of the entrance to the property. It runs along the hedge and reaches the hamlet of Longs Sillons. At the road, turn right, then left at the corner of the Bois de Mauny. At the farm, take the dirt road to the left and at the next crossroads, turn right to return to Iton. (On the right, you may notice the large menhir "the stone of Goue").

Step 3

At the crossroads, take the road opposite, cross the first road and at the next, turn left and finally turn right to arrive at Nuisement. In the hamlet, go to the right, continue on the dirt track and, at the end of the path, enter the wood to the left. At the road, turn right then left at the corner of the house. Continue on the path to the right to return to Dame-Marie.

Step 4

At the church, go to the right, pass in front of the town hall and, at the crossroads, continue right towards the Bois Curé. At the first crossroads, turn towards the
left on the dirt track and left again on the path which joins the hamlet of Naudière. (Note the superb ceramic finials on the first house.) On leaving the hamlet, go to the left.

Step 5

Turn immediately to the right to pass in front of the beautiful building of La Naudière. Continue on the dirt road which winds through the plains full of game. At the road, take the path opposite then at the crossroads, go straight. At the fork, take the right branch. At the entrance to Saint Ouen, take the rue de l'école to the right and at the "small bar", continue straight. At the end of the street, turn left into rue de Perche-pendue. At the crossroads, turn right, then immediately left to reach the church of Saint Ouen. Finally, return to the starting point via the rue de l'Eglise.
